Hey Skyleaders! 🌟
Connect your Gmail to the Skylead easily and securely!
With a few configurations, such as enabling POP/IMAP and activating 2-step verification, you’ll create a stable link for your Gmail email outreach. Generating an app password helps maintain privacy and the Gmail template in your settings simplifies the whole process. Explore how easy that is with us! 🚀🌈
1. Configure Your Gmail Settings ✅
First, log in to your Gmail account. Head over to Settings ➡️ All settings.
Next, click on the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab. Enable these options:
-
- Enable POP for all email
- Enable IMAP
Don’t forget to click Save changes. Just like that, you’ve completed step one! ✔️
2. Activate 2-Step Verification 🔐
If you’re a Google Workspace admin, make sure 2-factor verification is enforced for your entire organization. For everyone else, double-check that 2-step verification is activated on your Google account. It’s a small step that adds big security!
3. Generate an App Password 🗝️
- Now, head over to your Google Account Security Settings. In the search bar, type App passwords. Choose Select app and enter “Skylead”.
Click Create, and you’ll receive a special password. Copy it—this will replace your usual password for setting up the SMTP and IMAP server.
4. Update Your Skylead Account Settings 🛠️
Now, head back to your Skylead account. Go to Settings ➡️ Email Settings
- Click on Add button and select Custom Gmail.
Fill in the following details:
- Username: Your Gmail address.
- Password: The app password you just generated.
The SMTP and IMAP details should be pre-filled for you. Easy-peasy! 😎
⚠️ Important: If 2-step verification isn’t turned on yet, please activate it and then follow the steps above.
And there you go! You’re all set to take your Skylead experience to the next level. 🚀 If this guide helped you out, give us a shout! Enjoy Skyleading and have a blast! 🌈🎉
